Abstract: The present research covers topics such as global policy options for food security; and existing policy frameworks by the government of Pakistan and national bodies or organizations working for the cause of biosafety, biosecurity in the country. The ethical need to establish effective strategies related to country’s preparedness to tackle issues like climate change, poverty and food security is emphasized.
